The number, position and type of glycosylation play an important part in regulating antibody stability, structure and effector function. Thus, changing the glycosylation pattern could have a huge influence on the antibody efficacy and alter the effector function of the antibody like Antibody cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), Complement-dependent cytotoxity (CDC) and Antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP).
