Stable isotope peptides
Peptides can be synthesized with amino acids where one or more hydrogen, carbon or nitrogen atoms have been replaced with their heavy stable isotope. This will generate a peptide with the same physiochemical properties as the non-labeled peptide, except for a shift in mass.
The isotope labeled peptides are a key for protein structure studies, protein-protein interactions and a lot more by use of NMR.
